How Roll Call works

Roll Call finds session times that work for a whole gaming group. Everyone says when they are generally free, and Roll Call proposes times that fit.

The basic loop

  1. A GM creates a campaign and sets how often the group plays, which days and times are possible, and how many players a session needs.
  2. The GM shares an invite link. Players join and set their availability.
  3. Roll Call compares everyone's availability against the campaign's rules and proposes the times that fit best.
  4. The GM picks one. Everyone is notified and RSVPs.

Signing in

Roll Call has no passwords. You sign in with Google, Apple, or Discord. On first sign-in you set your time zone and your availability.

For GMs

You own the campaign and its settings. You create the campaign, invite players, and pick from the times Roll Call proposes.

You are also the only person who pays. See plans and the free trial.

For players

You join with a link from your GM, set your availability once, and answer session polls. Roll Call is free for players.

Connecting a calendar keeps your busy times current automatically. Your GM sees only whether you can make a given time. See what your GM can see.

Between sessions

Once a round of sessions is booked, Roll Call starts the next one. It reminds players who have not responded and skips major holidays. When someone's plans change, they update their availability and the next round reflects it.
