Your availability, called your downtime in the app, is the recurring window you are generally free to play. It applies to every campaign you are in.
Set your downtime
- Go to My Availability.
- Drag the handles to set the window you are free.
- Click Save Changes.
What to enter
Account for large recurring blocks: work, school, sleep, standing commitments. You are describing a normal week, not a specific one.
Do not try to account for one-off events. If you connect a calendar, those are handled automatically.
Keep it wide
A wide window does not commit you to playing at every hour in it. It only gives Roll Call more chance of finding a time the whole group can make.
You still see and answer every proposed time before anything is booked.
Three modes
- Weekdays and weekends. The default. One window for Monday to Friday, one for the weekend.
- Custom per day. A separate window for each day.
- It's complicated. For irregular schedules. Roll Call uses your connected calendar and your poll answers instead.
Campaign-specific availability
Your downtime is the default everywhere. If one campaign needs different hours, set availability for that campaign only. It overrides your default there and leaves your other games alone.
One-off changes
To change a single date, add an exception. Mark a date busy when you are away, or free when you are unusually available. Exceptions apply only to that date.
Session polls
When a GM starts a scheduling round, you get a poll of the candidate times. Your availability pre-fills the answers. With auto-scheduling on and a calendar connected, Roll Call answers for you.
