Answering the session poll

The session poll is where you tell your GM which of the proposed times you can make. It opens whenever the GM starts a scheduling round.

Open the poll

  1. Open the campaign from your dashboard.
  2. Click Open Session Poll in the banner at the top.

The banner shows only while your answer is outstanding. The badge beside the round number reads Ready once you have submitted.

The three answers

  • I'm in. You can make this time.
  • If need be. You could make it, but it is not ideal.
  • Can't make it. You are out.

Roll Call ranks a time higher when more players are fully in. Use if need be for times that work at a push, not as a maybe.

Conflict hints

Each time carries the reasons it may not suit you. A hint can say the time conflicts with your downtime, name an event from a connected calendar, or name a piece of your time off.

Other events on the same day are listed underneath for context, even when they do not clash.

Narrow it down

When a campaign allows flexible start times, a slot shows a window instead of one time. Click Narrow it down and drag the handles to the part of the window that works for you.

Leave it alone and you are saying any start inside the window suits you.

Submitting

  1. Answer every time in the list.
  2. Click Submit Availability.
  3. Confirm when asked.

Answers lock once submitted. To change one, ask your GM to reset your availability, then answer the poll again.

Carried-over answers

When a GM re-polls, answers you already gave for times still on the table stay put. The poll asks only about what changed. If nothing changed, you are marked ready without seeing a poll at all.

An empty poll

"You're all caught up" means every time has an answer. "No upcoming session windows to vote on" means the campaign's settings produced nothing to ask about, which is the GM's to fix.

With Auto-RSVP on, Roll Call answers for you and there is never anything to submit.
