Blocked dates take specific days off the table for the whole campaign. Roll Call never proposes a session on one.
Only the GM can add them, from the Blocked Dates panel on the campaign page.
Block a range
- Open the campaign and find Blocked Dates.
- Click + Add, then Custom range.
- Pick a start and end date. Use the same date twice for a single day.
- Add a reason if it helps your players.
- Click Add Blocked Dates.
Dates must be today or later, and a range cannot run longer than a year.
What to block
Block anything that takes the group offline: a convention, a shared holiday, a stretch when you are away. Players enter their own absences as time off instead.
Blocking one player's holiday here removes the date for everyone, which is rarely what you want.
Major holidays
Click + Add and choose Major holidays to skip them automatically, using the holiday region set on the campaign. It appears as a single row marked Auto-skip and needs no upkeep.
Remove that row if your group happily plays through them.
Removing dates
Blocked dates are grouped by range in the panel. Remove a single date or a whole range from there. Dates in the past drop off on their own.
When they apply
Blocked dates are applied while Roll Call builds the list of possible times, so they take effect from the next scheduling round.
They do not move a session that is already confirmed. To clear a booked date, re-poll that session after blocking it.
Blocking too much
A long blocked range can leave a scheduling round with nothing to offer, especially on a monthly cadence. If a round comes back empty, check the blocked dates covering the period you are scheduling into.
