Session schedule windows set which days a campaign can play and what time of day a session could start. Roll Call never proposes a session outside them.
The three day modes
Click a day to cycle through the modes:
- Preferred. A day the group wants to play. Roll Call ranks these above the rest.
- If need be. Workable, but not ideal. Used when preferred days do not work out.
- Never. Nothing is proposed on this day.
Start time, not length
The handles on each day set when a session could start. They do not set how long it runs. Session length is a separate setting.
A window of 5 PM to 10 PM allows a start anywhere in that range. Roll Call picks the start time that suits the most people.
Wider is better
Narrow windows are the most common reason a campaign gets no proposals. A one-hour window on every day leaves very little room.
Widening a window does not commit the group to an earlier start. It only gives Roll Call more to choose from. The same applies to days: marking a few days if need be beats marking them never.
Windows vs player availability
Windows are the campaign's rules and only the GM sets them. Each player then has their own availability inside those rules. A time is proposed only where both overlap.
One-off gaps
For a single week away, add a blackout date to the campaign rather than switching a day to never. Roll Call also skips major holidays when that option is on.
