A GM can cancel any confirmed session. Everyone is notified and the session comes off their calendars.
Cancelling is not the same as rescheduling. A cancelled session is not replaced.
Cancel a session
- Open the campaign and click Manage Sessions.
- Find the session.
- Click Cancel Session.
- Confirm.
The session stays on the campaign marked cancelled, so the group can see what happened.
What players get
Every player with a confirmed RSVP is notified, on whichever channels they use. If the campaign has a linked Discord channel, the cancellation is posted there too.
The session is removed from the Roll Call calendar of anyone who was attending.
Cancel or reschedule
- Cancel when the session is simply not happening. Nothing takes its place.
- Reschedule when you still want a session around that date. Roll Call re-polls the group and looks for a replacement.
Rescheduling lives in the scheduling panel, not here. See How a scheduling round runs.
Cancelling several
The Manage Sessions screen lets a GM cancel more than one session and change attendance in the same pass. Players get a single notification covering the lot rather than one per session.
One player out
A player who cannot attend should mark themselves Miss rather than asking for a cancellation. See RSVPs and attendance.
Cancel only when the session as a whole is off.
After cancelling
Cancelling does not start a new scheduling round, and it does not count as a session played toward a campaign's planned length.
To find a new date, open a round from the scheduling panel.
